Second-hand Building Materials Centre

Max Jones, a well know local person has bought the Coasties Big Shed business and has taken over the running of this popular second-hand building materials resource centre!

We have done a lot of re-organising, and Max's plan is to continue the traditional role that Coasties has fulfilled for the past decade of providing quality recycled building materials at outstanding value to the benefit of old and new customers as well as the environment.

Pick-ups and deliveries have recommenced on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  We would love to recycle your unwanted windows, doors, timber and selected items that are in good condition for resale.  We sincerely appreciate your contributions.

Meanwhile, Max is looking forward to meeting all old and new customers who join him in helping to reduce, reuse, recycle.

As an ecologically responsible and environmentally aware business we place a great deal of value on the effect that our actions have on the environment.

Our aim is to provide an opportunity for recycling of building materials and to offer usable second-hand building materials for sale at reasonable prices whilst at the same time reduce landfill and the effect on the environment.

Think of it this way; if you buy a piece of timber from us that means that a living growing tree did NOT have to be cut down for you and the timber you did buy did not get wasted or become part of landfill.

Same principle applies to windows, doors and other items. You can make a real difference reducing pollution associated with mining, transport, manufacturing, packaging, transport to shops and finally disposing of the packaging by shopping at Coasties Big Shed.

Obviously we do not have everything you need and there are times when it is possible to use only new products - but bear in mind that every little bit helps a lot and makes a difference to our environment. Your contribution to use re-cycled is a part of the solution rather than part of the problem.
