On this page you find featured items to give you a glimpse of what we have at CBS. When a new item, that is in some way unique or hard to find comes in, I will do my best to feature it here. Please note, not all new items can be put in here as our stock changes on a daily basis.

I will do my best to update this page every Monday when we are closed to public.

If an item is sold I will try to put a SOLD sticker on it as soon as practical but please understand that for most items we only have one of each kind and it can happen that the item has been sold even though it is still on this page. If you have a way to travel, you can call Coasties Big Shed on (02) 4283 8366 to check if the item is still available and if necessary we will temporarily hold for you so you have time to come and see it.

Please note we do not accept phone orders. We will not accept payment and will not deliver items unless you (or your representative) have personally inspected it and it has been fully paid for. As all items are unique and second-hand there no are refunds or exchanges available for any reason. Please ensure you are satisfied with the condition and size of the item before buying it

Firewood - Mostly seasoned hardwood that burns hot so you need to use much less timber than with softwoods or pine.

All hardwood is already cut to size for you saving hours of hard work, most pieces should be the right size to fit into a slow-combustion

heater or pot belly. Available in 200 litre plastic barrels that can be tipped into your ute or trailer OR we can deliver for a fee and

empty at your place. If you would like to transport the wood in one of our barrels there is a $20 charge for the barrel which is refunded on return of barrel.  We also have 15kg bags.

White Plastic Barrels - 60 litres with screw top lid $10 each.

Blue Plastic Barrels - 200 litres with two screw pugs $25 each.

The 200 litre blue barrels have two screw pugs at the top and are very versatile with a wide range of possible uses. Many customers use them for water storage, others cut tops off to store items in garage or garden shed. The barrels can also be cut in half either lengthwise or across to make a contained herb or flower gardens.

60 litre white barrels are available now and have screw top lid as well as carry handles making them ideal for pet food storage. They are also a fantastic boating accessory - keep all your gear dry in the barrels and if it falls overboard it will float.

RAILWAY SLEEPERS

These are genuine hardwood railway sleepers recycled from the railway.

Sleepers are typically 200mm x 150mm in 2.4m long sections and most still have the metal plates attached.  Usually this is fine as you can always place the sleeper so that the plate is on the inside and out of sight, though many people prefer to leave the plate visible to create character and authenticity to their project.

Sleepers are great for garden edging, fence posts, retaining walls, planter boxes, outdoor steps, rustic outdoor benches, garden furniture and much more
